Bourdieu indicates that the cultural resources in bourgeois generation will slightly transfer to the next generation, and the college system assists such transformation. Consequently, the bourgeois generation is in possession of ample cultural resources. In addition, the cultural reproduction is reflected in the lifestyles among students. With an attempt to re-examine Bourdieu’s cultural reproduction theory, this research has the following goals: 1.To analyze the class reproduction method from culture to sub-culture. 2.To explore the differences among various processes of socialization in sub-culture. 3.To examine the adequacy of Bourdieu’s culture reproduction theory. Subjects of this research are juniors from Soo-Chow Univeristy. Questionnaires are used to collect data. The results show differences among college students from different Social-Economic Status in the society. Furthermore, cultural reproduction is indeed observed in some aspects (e.g. source of incomes, partcipation of school associations, social relationships, etc.) of students’ sub-culture. The results obtained regarding the aforementioned aspects are consistent to Bourdieu’s findings. Nevetheless, some deviations from Bourdieu’s research are found as well. As indicated by our research, the more background from “cultural capital”, the more aggressive and positive the study behavior is. The bourgeois does are in fact concerned about their academic performances, which contradicts to Bourdieu’s study. Moreover, the sub-culture in college student is not only influenced by cultural capital. Social capital, teacher’s teaching attitudes and students’ behaviours also have impacts on the process of socialization. none 蔡明哲 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 175 zh-TW
