The thesis main research subjects are based on these two books of Jhu. The first chapter explains the motive and scope of this study, in which previous studies are organized and the structure and research basis are delineated. The second chapter describes Jhu’s background in terms of her origin of writing, literature and art activities, time setting and self-identity. The third chapter, which discusses the social phenomenon and its meaning of the book “the Splendors of Fin de Siecle,” includes the definition of “fin de siecle,” the social phenomenon of “fin de siecle,” and the visage and meaning of “splendor.” The fourth chapter delineates the main characters in “the Splendors of Fin de Siecle.” The fifth chapter, consisted of the three sections of “In the Sky of Taipei,” “ Contrast to Foreign Cultures,” and “the Obliterated Gray Mainland China,” integrates the world where the desolate man exists, in which lies the background implication of “Notes of a Desolate Man.” The seventh chapter summarizes Jhu’s inclination of novel writing after Martial Law lifted, in terms of “the Splendors of Fin de Siecle” and “Notes of a Desolate Man.” Shung-Ying Chang 張雙英 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 239 zh-TW |
