Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 應用數學研究所 === 94 === Tree-based models are useful for both classification and regression problems. In this project, we will conduct some simulation studies to explore the great potential of tree-based association analyses for genetic data. We will use the SIMULATE program, which is written by Joseph Terwilliger (2002), to simulate genotypes in family members. Then based on the genetic data sets specified, assign the affection status for each individual,ex: diseases loci. After the preparation of both the genotype and phenotype data, we will analyze the simulated data sets by the tree-based methods using R-tree written by Heping Zhang. The results will then be summarized and discussed.
