Description
Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 西班牙語文學系研究所 === 94 === Gloria Fuertes is one of the most important authors of Children’s Literature in Spain in the twentieth century. Her work Cangura para todo won the international prize “Anderson” in 1968 and then she won several other national prizes for her creation for children. As Fuertes says, she loves children and she hopes that her productions will cheer up the children. This thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the Introduction: it contains the motivation, bibliography analysis, the theme and purpose of this work and the methodology of study. The second chapter introduces the writer’s career and personality traits reflected in her poetry. We also mention other important works of the author. In the third chapter, we study the 30 booklets of Gloria Fuertes we chose; we have discovered five types of presentation: narrative poetry, traditional story poetry, fables, lyric poetry, folkloric poetry and drama poetry. In the fourth chapter, we study and analyze the main themes of Fuertes divided into five categories: love, nature, living creatures and things, injustice and war, God. In the fifth chapter, we introduce Fuertes’ writing strategies and characteristics, including obvious language games, humor and self-reference. The final chapter contains the conclusions where we summarize the key points of the previous five chapters.
