ABSTRACT
The elderly trend of population in Taiwan area is inevitable. Therefore, we should aim at how to allow the retired and health mind elder to participate happily in the community style learning activity to allow their life more plentiful and more meaningful and further to promote and enhance the health and living quality, which has become the most important subject at present.
The purpose of elder social university subordinate to Chinese Elder Education Association is to fulfill the spirit of “Living to old, learning to old, playing to old, doing to old, and living better than before”, of which is by means of learning to increase new knowledge and to enhance the living field for elder and further to expand the living field for elder so as to promote the body & mind health to allow then to enjoy the elderly age of never becoming old.
The purpose of this study is to explore the investigation on the learning satisfaction for the members of Social University in Taipei area. The purpose of this study is:
1.To understand the current status of “background factor” of the
members of Elder Social University.
2.To analyze the learning satisfaction for the members of Social
University.
3.To analyze the difference between “background factor”
and “learning satisfaction” for the members of Elder Social
University.
4.According to the statistic data collected from investigation, the
study has proposed a material suggestion for the reference
compliance to the planning and improvement on the elder social
university or the domestic elder education activities.
The study has divided into 7 background variations into sex, age, economic status, occupation prior to retirement, education background, marital status, and times for accepting advanced learning respectively. The study uses mean value and times percentage to obtain the sequence of each background variations in order to understand the current status of the members of Elder Social University in Taipei area.
The study has adopted the questionnaire investigation method to select the members of elder social university subordinate to Chinese Elder Education Association as the object of study and by means of sampling method to obtain 449 copies of valid sample, the effective questionnaire rate is 89.80%. The data being obtained which has been through the statistical times percentage, single sample test, single factor variation analysis to proceed comparison and statistical analysis. The result obtained from study that are as follows: 1. On the aspect of sex, the human relationship has significant difference, other aspect and integration, both have no significant difference. 2. Different age has no significant difference in school administration, other and integration have significant difference. 3. Different economic condition on each aspect and integration has no significant difference. 4. Different vacation prior to retirement on each aspect and integration that has no significant difference. Different education background on each aspect and integration that has no significant difference. 6. Different marital status on each aspect and integration that has no significant difference. 7. Different number of course study on each aspect and integration that has no significant difference. According to the study result that has obtained the following 4 conclusions:
1.High comment on the learning satisfaction made by the members of
elder social university.
2.The superior layer of learning satisfaction made by the members of
elder social university is the teaching of teachers.
3.The lowest layer of learning satisfaction made by the members of
elder social university is the administration of school.
4.The learning satisfaction will be different due to background
variations. According to the conclusion obtained from the study,
the study has proposed the following suggestions:
1.Suggestion to the elder social university:
(1)To strengthen the modernized video and audio media hardware and
equipment.
(2)To strengthen the school administration so as to satisfy the
demand of members.
(3)To strengthen the training for volunteer in order to enhance the
service effect.
(4)To strengthen the training for the teachers in professional
community university to enhance the teaching achievement.
(5)Expect that the elder university must has its campus.
(6)To avoid emphasizing on the word of elderly.
(7)The location of attending class shall have a fix, traffic
convenient and larger space.
2.Suggestion to the members of elder social university:
(1)To plan the contents of retirement career full orientation.
(2)To strengthen the rational concept of life learning.
3.Suggestion to the related unit of elder education:
(1)The education unit should actively participate in guiding to
benefit the promotion for the community elder education.
(2)To establish the educational training unit to encourage the
students in Social Worker Dept. to practice in the said school.
