| Summary: | 碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 建築及都市計畫研究所 === 94 === The study is mainly to confer the status of the Branch in Taipei, Nippon Kangyo Bank in the Architecture History of Taiwan, all previous transformations of the old building, the appropriate ways to reuse it, and provide some ideas for correlative organizations to repair or reuse it.
The reason that Japanese Government constructed the the Branch in Taipei, Nippon Kangyo Bank is mainly because they would like to exploit the natural resources in Taiwan and to handle the affairs of land mortgage and loan for people lived in the countryside. The most influence it brought to people in Taiwan was the loan to do the agrarian reform, especially the water conservancy and irrigation. It outwardly was to supply the industries in Taiwan plenty of money to exploit the land and innovate the water conservancy and irrigation of farmland; in fact, it intended to lead the development of the agriculture and fishery in Taiwan by the loan on credit to achieve the Colonization Policy of “Industrialized Japan; Agricultural Taiwan“ made by Japanese Imperial Government.
The construction of the Branch in Taipei, Nippon Kangyo Bank was blended with classical and non-classical styles due to the influence from Western culture. The decorations on the indented pillars of the parapets were with the sashes and patterns in Neo Art, Ornament Art and Japanese styles, which completely display Eclectic Construction in the end of 19 century. In order to intensify Taiwanese people’s confidence to believe Japanese Government, the construction was built by sturdy pillars, thick and heavy walls, solid and steady contour as well as interior high-ceiling lobby to symbolize the consolidation and security of finance in this bank under Japanese Imperial Governance.
Due to the variation of time and environment, it has been reorganized as ” Lank Bank of Taiwan” after Taiwan Restoration to meet more requirements. The interior high-ceiling space was partition into three-story construction. However, this building has been left unused since “Lank Bank of Taiwan” moved. Presently, it is still waiting for repair though there is no obvious sign to show whether it will be reused. In view of this, this study would try to confer the existed potential and pressure of this old building through the construction space and environment analyses and from the viewpoint of city planning in order to redefine the development direction to reuse this building in the future. This study is total to divides into five chapters and fifteen parts:
The first chapter illustrates the background, the motives and the purpose for writing this study and then defines the key words, scope, contents and limits, in the end, chooses the methods, designs the steps and process to build the basic frame of this thesis. The Second chapter Carry on the correlation literature review and the rationale constructs the construction, correlation of including historical site, again use, again use discussion concept and so on influence factor, correlation case analysis. The Third chapter Main aim at "Branch in Taipei, Nippon Kangyo Bank" past of history source and course, the building form and all previous years construction form vicissitude the old mansion carries on the analysis. The fourth chapter First of all, analysis the interior space. Finding out the suitable style in the future, and make sure the future development façade is museum by environmental analysis.The fifth chapter According to the relative substances and effect factors of environment circumference from museum. Roughly lay out the interior concepts of Branch in Taipei, Nippon Kangyo Bank.The sixth chapter declares major conclusion, suggestion and follow-up studies of this thesis.
