碩士 === 國立聯合大學 === 環境與安全衛生工程學系碩士班 === 94 === The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of present safety culture in petrochemical industries. The case was selected from five petrochemical companies which belong to the same petrochemical organization in Taiwan. The safety culture evaluation sheet used in this study was based on the safety culture mode developed by International Atomic Energy Authority（IAEA）and constructed the evaluation questions in the way of literature review. In this study, a practical questionnaire had been designed and tested. Finally, several statistic methods were used to analyze the collected data sets, including t-test, Scheff’s method, one-way ANOVA analysis of variance and stepwise multiple regression analysis. This study was interested in determining whether employee’s background and environment variables affect differences, relation and calculation in safety culture level in their company. The result was showed on the Radar Diagram based on the research outcome. The safety culture evaluation sheet and the suggestions of this study were provided for senior management’s future uses on decision making on promoting the safety culture level within the organization.
