Effect of Fe3+ ion doping onmicrostructure and optical properties for TiO2 thin films

碩士 === 國立聯合大學 === 材料科學工程學系碩士班 === 94 === In this study, the undoped and up to 25 wt% iron(Fe3+) doped titanium dioxide (Fe3+/TiO2) thin films were prepared on glass substrates by the sol-gel spin coating method to investigate the effect of Fe3+ ions concentration andthermal treatment temperature. The crystal structure, surface morphology, optical properties and the photo-catalytic activity via methylene blue decomposition were investigated by differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission SEM (FE-SEM), UV/Vis/NIR spectrosmeter, spetroscopic ellipsometer (SE), and phtoluminescence (PL) emission spectroscopy. The results show that addition of Fe3+ ions suppressed the phase transformation and grain growth of crystals in the TiO2 thin films. A gradual shift of the transmission spectrum towards longer wavelength was observed as TiO2 doping with an increased amount of iron ions. The SE measurements of TiO2 thin films also supported the lowering of the band gap energy with Fe3+ doping. The Fe3+ dopant decreased the intensity of PL spectra, but did not create new PL signals. The weaker the PL intensity the higher the photo-catalyst activity was, demonstrating that the relationships between PL spectra and photo-catalytic activity. none 林惠娟 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 72 zh-TW
