It wastes much costs if they should recruit new members again and again. Nowadays, intranet application provides a chance to companies’advantage. Intranet is a popular communication tool in enterprises. The intranet using is unavoidable when new staffs begin their job. Thus, in order to reduce newcomers’intent to leave, organizations may use technology advantages to improve the situation. This study is to examine the relationship among individual perceptions toward intranet characters and information seeking behavior in newcomers organizational socialization. The results are as follows:(1) Individual perceptions toward intranet characters and information seeking behavior presents a significant positive correlation, especially in the relationships in “accessibility” and “usefulness” and information seeking. (2) Information seeking behavior is related to organizational socialization, especially in the relationships in organization information and job /role information and organizational socialization. (3) The intranet characters is also related to organizational socialization, especially in the relationships in intranet“accessibility” and “usefulness” and organizational socialization. However organizational socialization has relatively little effect on the“easy of use” and “anonymous” of intranet. An unexpected finding is that individual perceptions of six intranet characters has little effect on organizational goal and value. It suggests that intranet technology advantages to convey organizational goal and value are limit. Finally, “accessibility”, “richness”, “interactiveness” and “usefulness” predict information seeking behavior; job/role information and organization information predict organizational socialization; “accessibility”, “richness” and “usefulness” predict organizational socialization.
