Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 94 === The desired goal for operators of construction is to use input resources efficiently and increase the efficiency of operation and competition in market. The operation performance of Construction Company is affected huge by global environment, and hard to quantity or non-represent the evaluation indicators in performance. Therefore, it is difficult to measure the performance of operation for Construction Company without the standard of measure objectively. Because of these, this study deal to filter the indicator of financial to analyze the character of construction company in Taiwan based on the theory of 「Structure-Conduct-Performance model」(S-C-P model) issued by Scherer. To define 「performance」 as 「to evaluate the productive of usage in input and output」, this study develops a multivariable DEA-SOM model for evaluating the performance, which combines the ratio analysis, data envelopment analysis and self-organizing map. The model could process multiple inputs and outputs through DEA with canonical correlation analysis to condense and extract financial data, keep the information provided by original data also. The model does not estimate parameter and define the predict function. Then, it classifies the same performance company into a group by SOM, and sorts the rank of performance. This study adopts public construction company as verified cases. The result presents that it is reasonable and acceptable, to asset the meaning of performance for individual case in practical. The model would be useful tool for evaluating the performance of Construction Company.
