The normal force of a connector needs to be above 100 gf, so the transmission of the signal can remain stable. In general, measuring the normal force of a connector needs to remove part of the plastic housing and structure of a connector, so that the probe can be inserted into the connector to measure the normal force. Because the structure of the connector has been changed, the measurement results may be inaccurate. In the study, we use ANSYS software to design better spring element of a minature force sensor, and then fabricate it by MEMS technology. The miniature force sensor will be packaged with a PCB so that it can be employed to measure the normal force of the connector directly without destructing the structure of the connector.
