However the conventional package of phosphor-type LED loses 30% to 50% energy. The thesis constructed a 1-dimentional model to describe the absorption and conversion of light propagating in a phosphor layer. Designing an experiment we can regress the coefficients in the model. We observe the energy loss term in the model and can optimize the phosphor-type white LED package.
