Endodontic instruments upon rotation are subjected to both tensile stress and compressive stress in curved canals. This stress is localized at the point of curvature. This is the most destructive mode of cyclic fatigue. The present experiment utilizes dynamic measurement to research the fatigue property of Ni-Ti instrument. We expect to find the fracture mechanisms of Ni-Ti rotary instrument, and lead to recommendations for preventing instrument separation. Keywords:NiTi instrument, Cyclic fatigue, Fracture mechanisms
