Summary: | 博士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 商學研究所 === 94 === On the basis of the context of cross-function information system development teams (ISDT), this study aimed to explore how and what extent team prejudice and goal commitment impact intrateam task conflict and relationship conflict. This study also examined whether members’ personality composition and Chinese traditionality moderate the relationship between team prejudice and intrateam conflict as well as goal commitment and intrateam conflict. The sample contained 388 members from 128 ISDTs, who came from the universities of the northern Taiwan. Four findings were shown in the study. Firstly, the higher team prejudice, the higher intrateam task conflict and relationship conflict, whereas the higher goal commitment, the lower intrateam task conflict and relationship conflict. Secondly, the Chinese traditionality had a moderating effect on the the relationship between team prejudice and task conflict, and team prejudice and relationship conflict. Thirdly, while the task conflict and relationship conflict become higher, it would bring more negative influence on the team performance and members’ satisfaction. Fourthly, the top management support could promote the team performance and members'' satisfaction. This study discussed research findingds both in terms of theoretical development and of practical management implications.
