Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 法律學研究所 === 94 === Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) has been used more and more common to safeguard the public security in recent years so that you can see it everywhere in the public sphere. Although CCTV can probably improve the public security, it also could be harmful to human rights at the same time. The main rights that CCTV has invaded are the right to informational self-determination, the right to privacy, informational privacy, public privacy and the right to freedom of movement. For this reason, it’s very important to regulate the use of CCTV now to avoid abuse. This essay consists of five major parts. Part Ⅰintroduces some basic concept about the subject of this essay. Part Ⅱ deals with some typical issues in police law which can probably affect CCTV’s use on some level. Part Ⅲ then goes on to explore some constitution issues caused by the use of CCTV. Part Ⅳ sets up CCTV regulations from data protection principles and then goes back to refine the current Police duties enforcement act. Finally, concludes several major points which can offer the legislative some specific suggestions.
