In the meanwhile, Chen’s vicotry launched a new opportunity for the developments of politics, society ,diplomacy and several other aspects in Taiwan. Japan , an important neighbouring country across the sea, has extremely complex and intimate interactions with Taiwan in the aspect of historiacl and political develpoments as well as the relations in economy and trade. The end of the Cold War led the collapse of United States and Soviet Unions’ Bipolar System and prompted a transition in the global environment. In the new century, the US President George W. Bush and the Japan Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi’s leadership have made a crucial infulence on the international relations in East Asia and also has directed the relation between Taiwan and Japan’s developments. Therefore, the author first traces the relation between Taiwan and Japan during the Lee Teng-Hui’s presidency under the reign of Kuomintang. Furthermore, by investigating the changes of domestic and international environment, the independent variables that affects the interaction between Taiwan and Japan are observed to analyze how the relation between Taiwan and Japan has been impacted after the DPP has become the dominant party. 陳明通 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 173 zh-TW
