The study was conducted to the 4th grade children in the elementary school, and through action research, it surveyed the effect on enhancement of children’s color performance in the practice process of the curriculum developed by educators. The data were collected through: participation, observation, interviews, post-activity thoughts, and analysis of works, etc. Results of the study are as followings: A. The curriculum design shall be planned in sequence and step-by-step manner by being in conjunction with the psychological development, aesthetic performance and attributes, and art related theorem of children’s painting B. In the process of curriculum practice, it was verified that teaching strategies, such as “opportune teaching in practice”, “ game strategy”, “learning with cooperation” , “discussion strategy” and “appreciation teaching”, could effectively enhance children’s color performance and appreciation capacity. C. With action research, it proves that the transition of children’s “color performance” could be observed where the creative theme had been transited to dynamic and realistic graphics from static and abstractive graphics, and the color performance had been improved from the painting of primary colors to the ability to present light shadow, color integration and color contrast skills. The conclusion of the study is: the color performance of the 3rd and 4th grade children in elementary schools can be effectively reinforced through planned curriculum scheme.
