Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 94 === Abstract The purpose of this research is first to review the operations of transition services from pre-school to elementary school for children with hearing impairment, followed by the viewpoint of the concerned parties on the transition services for kindergarten & elementary school children. The methodology used in this research is based on case study and neutral sampling by using samples of the hearing-impaired children in regular class of a private kindergarten and those who are in their first grade of a primary school in Taitong County, in order to review the process operation of transition services for kindergarten & elementary school children. It is hopefully to understand the implementation focus and the real questions involved in order to come up with effective solutions. It is also hoped that the viewpoints and the opinions of parents and teachers on this issue can be provided. It is expected that no adaptive difficulties or degeneration would be caused as a consequence of stage change for hearing-impaired children from pre-school stage to elementary school stage. It is therefore necessary to reinforce the key-points, the process and the demands required during the operations of transition services in order to provide adequate strategies to parents and teachers to solve the problems. Different methodologies such as interviews, observation and reference materials are conducted by the author in order to consolidate information and relevant documents for further review. The key strategy is to focus on difficulties and problems faced by the hearing-impaired children who are about to enter their first grade of elementary school, by using continuous revision methodology. This is to ascertain the necessity for the success of transition services and to further promote the recognition of concerned parties on transition services. The following conclusions are made from the research of the thesis: I. The work on the operation format of pre-school regular class transition services still need to be done. II. The difficulties faced by the operations of pre-school regular class transition services need to be backed up by administrative resources and professional personnel. III. The participations of the concerned parties in the transition services need to be recognized. IV、There are problems existing in transition services exist and further improvement can be expected. At last, some relevant suggestions are made by the author based on research result. This is to provide references to education administrative authorities, schools, parents, service providers and those who engage in transition services, when providing or engaging transition services of kindergarten and elementary school children in the future.
