For conforming to the national development, the strengthening administration efficiency and achieving the goal of the army modernization and innovation of military affairs, the R.O.C. national troops execute the Streamlining Program to reinforce the army fighting strength, make sure of the national security and consolidated democratic achievement. During executing the program, the R.O.C. military police is thought to have some problem such as the role is fuzzy when the military police carries out the task, so there is a suggestion that the number of R.O.C. military police should be reduced, and change the system to be just like the United States Military Police Corps. If we like to clear up the difference of bilateral cognition, it truly needs to have a discussion on the development of the various countries' military police system and the present military police system, so we can grasp on the R.O.C. military police system that might merge going into the international various systems and meets the national security need, as well as follows the society to anticipate characteristic of the adjustment duty. Therefore this research must understand first what difference R.O.C. military police's system and the foreign country are? Whether Current R.O.C. military police's identity and duty are suitable or not? How is the development of other national military police systems? In order to clear the above questions up, this research makes an integrity review in view of the various countries' military police system by way of the Documentary Research method and using the System Approach way to ponder the military police system should face, finally uses the depth Interview which in the social sciences research often uses to collect the related information what is helpful to this research carries on. In the discussion process, we expect the R.O.C. military police system go forward to new vision and will provide what the study obtained to the National Defense Affaires for a decision-making reference. We also hope the people and government will know the military police further and take them seriously by way of this research. Furthermore, we realize the military police is an indispensable and important strength to stabilize the community.
