If we gather these sensor devices together to form a network topology, called wireless sensor network (WSN), we can apply this kind of network to human societies, such as military science, environmental protection, surveillance system and so on. In this article, I study WSN that accomplish the behavior of encoding. Because of power consumption and communication bandwidth are limited resources for sensor devices of WSN, a feasible fashion is selecting distributed source coding to perform encoding. The benefit of utilizing distributed source coding is that WSN can accomplish compression without communicating between closed sources, thus saving bandwidth as well as battery loading of sensor device.
