碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 94 === Abstract Since 1945, the year of Taiwan Restoration, the public daycare center in Keelung city was expanded from one country daycare center to twenty-three community daycare centers and then to one city daycare center and fourteen branches. There was only one private daycare center in 1945 and then developed to sixty-seven in 2004. This research adopted Keelung city daycare center and two private daycare centers as research objects to study the development of public and private daycare centers in Keelung city. Since the year of Taiwan Restoration, the recruitment of preschooler evolved from recommendation to examination. The educational background of preschooler improved from junior high school to university. The teaching materials advanced from no publish to private publish. The teaching content progressed from daily livings to intellectual development. The classroom ameliorated from lending to exclusive. The equipment perfected from inadequacy to adequacy.
