碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 商船學系所 === 94 === Abstract The subject of this research is “The Study on Retirement Protections of Taiwan Seafarers in Seafarers Act and Labor Standards Act of R.O.C.” This research analyzes the regulation of Seafarers Act and Labor Standards Law in Taiwan with literature views. It also compares Retirement Protections of Seafarers Act and Labor Standards Law in Taiwan with the ones of International Convention and Mainland China. This research provides a way to understand merits and flaws of Retirement Protections of Seafarers Act in Taiwan. First, illustrates the motivation, methods and the definition of the realm of this research. Besides, it shows the rough contents of every chapter. Second, the regulations of Seafarers Act and Labor Standards Act in Taiwan state the relating Regulations to comprehend the scheme of Seafarers Act and Labor Standards Act and contrast the distinctions with each other. Also, showing the retirement conditions of Taiwan Seafarers in R.O.C or foreign vessels offering an example to verify the differences between the origins of two laws and shows the effect of Retirement Protections for ship-owner and crews. Then, the statement of the Retirement Protections of Mainland China concludes pattern and payment etc. And meanwhile, the statement of the International Convention of International Labor Organization compares with the Seafarers Act and Labor Standards Act in Taiwan more. In the last, drawing a conclusion to propose that the relevant suggestions are beneficial for the oncoming Retirement Protections of Seafarers in Seafarers Act in Taiwan.
