With the benefit of shipping which carries a great volume of living water products that balance demands and supplies in the market. 98% of the products’ distribution is relying on shipping and most of them are frosted in carriage. The living products are more valuable than the frozen ones. The main goal of this essay is to increase the value of water products by transporting the products alive. This research is conducted in experiments under low temperature and with the support of oxygen. Below are the findings of the experiments. In the ways of setting the position of the water tank during transporting, 1/4 of water in the tank if the tank is set as horizontal while 1/4 and 1/3 of water in the tank when carrying vertically. In the control of water supply, the tank should be set vertically without cases when carrying living fishes with 1/3 of water in the tank, and horizontally with cases if the tank is filled with 1/4 of water. In the different ways of packing, setting vertically during transport should be without cases and with 1/4 of water in the tank while it should be packed in cases as transports in horizontal position. The average livability of the living products in the tank with 1/4 of water is 92% while it is lower in the vertical packing water tanks. The livability of products in the tanks with 1/3 of water is lower than that with 1/4 of water. In the tanks with 1/3 of water, the livability is only 88%, and the chances are higher among those tanks set vertically. The result of this research shows the feasibility of transporting water products alive, and the needs for more related research in the future. The main reason for the scarcity of related research which has been done domestically is the dissent that keeps experts from different fields work without cooperation. It would be a great benefit for the society if the problem is solved. I am hoping this day would come any earlier. Kun-Ching Liao 廖坤靜 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 84 zh-TW
