With the narrative of cancer stories, this research helps us to better understand the patients’ attitude toward cancer and how they bring up the posttraumatic growth of cancer. The participants are three female adults who have cancer. The study method is narrative research. The researcher utilizes Holistic-content approach to present the life theme of cancer experience. The results of the study is as follows: The understanding of the cancer includes the mass of confirming cancer, wondering the reason of cancer, the worry of treatment. During this period, the patients feel helpless , confused, not comprehensible, and loneliness. The reason why the patients can bring up posttraumatic growth is their belief of living and social support from their family. They realize that they need to change their thinking and behavior, and with the support of the family understanding, their posttraumatic growth includes the change of self, the change of interpersonal relationship, and the change of life attitude.
