Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 工業教育學系在職進修碩士班 === 94 === The purpose of this study is to develop an “Elements and Compound” courseware for junior high school student. The study started with the analysis of references and relevant webpage and investigated design rule of the courseware. Then, an “Elements and Compound” courseware, following the rules of the instructional design process, was designed by “Game maker”. It contains 10 sections:teaching materials catalog, atom model, molecule collision, material data, elements sorting, shooting test, balancing coefficient of an equation, spelling test, periodic table and final test.
The formative evaluations included the “teacher evaluation” and “user evaluation”. The teacher evaluation was carried out by science and technology teachers using “Quality review checklist”. In the user-evaluation stage, the behaviors of two classes when they used the developed courseware were observed. After that, the researcher used a questionnaire to gain more information about the users’ opinions and evaluations for the courseware. The findings from the research were as follows:
1.The courseware content is correct. It helps student learn more.
2.Highlightened text and sound in the courseware can improve teaching achievement.
3.The section ”balancing coefficient of an equation” is challenging for students.The part “balancing coefficient of an equation” and mole should be intensified.
