This research uses quality research method. The contents are mainly based on fathers involved in the interviews, and assist with situational interview observation and related document data. According to the data, we can answer the questions above.
From the research results we find the factors that affect fathers involved in school affairs include “personal conditions”, “parenting sharing”, and “care for kids”. These factors have a great impact on fathers’ participating behavior. They make fathers’ participating behavior show some kinds of obvious behavioral characteristics, for example, self-commitment to the family-co-parenting, achieving self-business, an attitude for doing something big, various roles and so on. In addition, participating behavior of the fathers with these behavioral characteristics brings themselves and family ecology all sorts of changes different from before. The changes can be divided as “with the kids”, “with the wife”, and “with themselves”.
According to the analysis results, this research proposes the following policies. Use “promote fathers’ functions”, “explore fathers’ resources”, and “father consulting strategy” as the appeals to promote fathers to step in the school campus. Finally the researcher provides some suggestions to follow-on researches.
