The main purposes are to explore pupils’ learning processes and their learning outcomes, and to find out the problems faced by teachers during their teaching activities and their related coping strategies to solve those problems. The sample are 15 students of 6th grade from a certain public elementary school in central Taiwan. In order to create their own campus-plants web pages, students of different groups in their cooperative learning process have to use various IT tools, including personal computers, WWW surfing, digital camera and relevant illustrated plant handbooks for collecting, arranging and editing all information, and finally uploading their results to an assigned server through certain web software so that teachers and pupils in the campus can surf and evaluate their learning outcomes. The qualitative research method is adopted and quantitative data is also collected for contrasting and comparing. The reflection journals and teaching diary of the researcher, pupils’ learning feelings reports, as well as interview excerpts from pupils and collaborating teachers are all analyzed and triangulated to obtain research findings, and referred to other quantitative data such as: the Student Learning Performance Test, the Attitude Measurement in Natural Science, and the Questionnaire in the Influence of Creating Project Web Pages on Student Learning. The major conclusions of this study are described as follows: 1. The application of information technology to the project-based teaching could improve the science learning achievement of elementary pupils in this school. 2. Pupils’ project-based learning experiences of creating web pages could increase their learning interest in the plants of that school campus. 3. Application of IT in project-based teaching could facilitate the improvement of student’s learning attitude on natural science. 4. The project-based learning experiences from creating web pages could promote students’ interest to learn by means of computer network learning. 5. Although teachers faced many difficulties in the teaching processes of this study, they have found out some coping strategies recommended as follows: schools should (a) increase classroom computers, (b) improve teachers’ abilities to integrate information technology into their teaching, (c) facilitate teachers’ professional growth, and (d) coordinate teachers’ specializations to establish a teaching group for promoting project –based web-creating teaching.
