Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 自然科學教育學系碩士班 === 94 === We can not predict when and where the earthquake will be happen、but we can get ready before the disaster occur to reduce the damage. Therefore the students should be taught the curriculum for seismic hazard mitigation. The study was to investigate the effects of different seismic hazard mitigation teaching methods on students』 earthquake knowledge、seismic hazard mitigation attitude and skill. The researcher divided the six classes of elementary fifth grade into three groups. Group A was taught the course about seismic hazard mitigation first and visited the The 921 Earthquake Museum of Taiwan. Group B was only taught the course about seismic hazard mitigation. Group C was the control group. The questionnaires of earthquake knowledge and attitude were designed for this study and the authentic assessment was used to test students』 responses. Some students』 interviews were used to understand students』 earthquake conceptions. It was shown that there were remarkable difference on the earthquake knowledge、seismic hazard mitigation attitude between the before/after the course of seismic hazard mitigation of Group A and group B. The earthquake knowledge and the seismic hazard mitigation skill of group A and group B were obviously better than group C. The seismic hazard mitigation attitude of group A were obviously better than group C. There were no significant correlations between earthquake knowledge、seismic hazard mitigation attitude、and seismic hazard mitigation skill in these three groups. But the group C has significant negative correlations between earthquake knowledge and seismic hazard mitigation skill. There were no significant differences between different genders and different backgrounds. It was suggested that (1) the teacher can collate the teaching model of group A to teach seismic hazard mitigation course by outdoor learning. (2)The follow-up can develop the authentic assessment tools base on this research to publish other schools. (3) The follow-up can inquire the effect of earthquake videos on seismic hazard mitigation teaching.
