This study was based on questionnaire survey as well as “Peer social network scale”, “Family social network scale”, “Teacher and student social network scale” and “Hakka ethnic identity scale”. 1,143 students at twelve junior high schools in Kaohsiung and Pingtung counties participated in this study. Percent, T-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and Canonical correlation were employed to analyze this data. The main findings were as follows. 1. Female students, ninth grade, good academic achievement, authoritative parenting style, made friends with peers, very close to peers, peers were girls, peers were Hakka, and contacted with peers everyday had higher scores on “peers network”. 2. Female students, good academic achievement, parents lived together, and authoritative parenting style had higher scores on “family network”. 3. Female students, father were Hakka, good academic achievement, the eldest children, and authoritative parenting style had higher scores on “teacher and student network”. 4. Male students, mother were Hakka, with good Hakka and Chinese ability, good academic achievement, schools located in Hodui area, authoritative parenting style, and high socio-economic status had higher scores on “ethnic identity”. 5. Adolescents’ social network was associated with ethnic identity in Liudui area. 6. Adolescents’ ethnic identity was highly associated with family network in Liudui area. 7. Adolescents’ social network and ethnic identity in Liudui area were provided with canonical correlations.
