Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 94 === Kinematics Analyses of Arab Spring Movements on Balance Beam by Two National Elite Youth Gymnasts Abstract The study explored the gymnasts’ Arab springs on balance beam connected with different kinds of straddling support movements and different kinds of straddling support distance. Subjects were two national elite youth gymnasts who attended the balance beam gymnastics championship in the 2005 National Middle School Sports Event. The collected data were analyzed by APAS movement analysis system and obtained the kinematics parameters of each stage. The study results were as the following: 1. Velocity was the key point for an Arab spring connected with a difficult falling movement. Gymnast B’s gravity horizontal velocity was faster than that of gymnast A and with the small degree of changes which were beneficial to the difficulty development of connected movements. 2. The percentage of Arab spring movement distance on balance beam: Gymnast A had 26.02±0.43% straddling distance, 32.69±0.11% straddling support distance and 41.30±0.31% pushing off distance. Gymnast B had 25.40±0.58% straddling distance, 33.18±0.42% straddling support distance and 41.43±0.30% pushing off distance. It was evident that gymnast A should have some adjustments on the straddling support position. 3. The degree of Arab Spring rotation inertia affected the connected movement development. Gymnast B had the higher average of rotation inertia about 2kgm2. That was the reason why the Gymnast A could not have the breakthrough performance on he connected somersault movement. 4. To shorten the straddling support distance, to decrease the Arab spring horizontal velocity, to increase the vertical velocity and to decrease the total velocity affected the taking-off position and angle which was disadvantageous to gymnasts’ connected falling movement performance, and vice versa, i.e. the difficulty of falling movement increased. Therefore, straddling support distance was the other key point to determine the Arab spring movement, which was also the main factor to affect the angular velocity of reversing the body. Gymnast B had better straddling support distance than that of gymnast A, which was advantageous to gymnast B’s Arab springs connected with more difficult movements.
