Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 教育心理與輔導學系碩士班 === 94 === The purpose of this study was to examine self-awareness, career-awareness and their correlated factors of elementary school students of art talented.The study employed mainly correlational research. 111 art-talented students and 231 average students of 3rd and 6th grade students were selected as research subjects from 6 elementary schools in Taichung County. The study was revised as the fourth inventories and made reference to “Children Self-Awareness Inventory”, “Children Career-Awareness Inventory”, and “Parents-Child Career Interaction Relationship Inventory” to be the survey tools to investigate the subjects’ basic information. These above three inventory were organized by Maw- Sen Lin (2004). The data obtained was analyzed by descriptive statistics, One-Way MANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, canonical correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The main findings of the study were as follows:
1. Most of the art-talented students of elementary school performed above average level on Children Self-Awareness Inventory, Children Career-Awareness Inventory, Father-Child Career Interaction Relationship Inventory, and Mother-Child Career Interaction Relationship Inventory.
2. The differences between art-talented students of 3rd and 6th graders were not statistically significant in terms of self-awareness, but statistically significant in terms of overall career-awareness . The art-talented students of 6th graders are prior to art-talented students of 3rd graders in knowledge of working world.
3. The differences between art-talented students and average students were statistically significant in terms of overall self-awareness, overall career-awareness. The art-talented students are prior to average students in self-exploration, self-responsibility, self-affirmation, judgment of values of working world, and knowledge of working world.
4. There was a significant positive correlation between parent-child career interaction relationship and children’s overall self-awareness. The highest correlation is mother’s facilitative actions.
5. There was a significant positive correlation between parent-child career interaction relationship and children’s overall career-awareness. The highest correlation is mother’s facilitative actions.
6. Mother-child career interaction relationship and conditions of unemployed mother could be used to predict significantly art-talented students’ self-awareness and career-awareness.
