The purpose of this research is for realizing Kaohsiung gifted elementary students and general elementary school students’ over-excitability traits as well as the difference of current life adjustment and the related situation of researching overexciting traits and life adjustment. In addition, more over to research the prediction the overexciting traits against with life adjustment .
This essay is researched by six elementary schools (third grade to sixth grade – gifted students and the same class, the same sex distinction general students, three hundred and eighty, total seven hundred and sixty students, researched by questionnaires and visiting method and then the collected information thru descript -able Statistics, one-way MANOVA, Pearson Product-moment Correlation and multiple stepwise regression analysis to have the following conclusion :
1. Gifted elementary school students and general over-excitability traits elementary school students are in the medium performance; gifted elementary school students’ overexciting traits are intellectual over-excitability(T OE), and then imaginational over-excitability(M OE),psychomotor over-excitability (P OE), emotional over-excitability(E OE), and sensual over-excitability(S OE); general over-excitability traits elementary school students’ performance are in TOE, next by P OE, M OE, E OE and then S OE.
2. Gifted elementary school students and general over-excitability traits elementary school student are in the medium performance; therefore,gifted lementary school students and general over-excitability traits elementary school student are in good life adjustment.
3. There are some difference between of gifted elementary school students and general over-excitability traits elementary school students. Gifted elementary school students are more excellent than general over-excitability traits elementary school students in T OE, E OE, S OE of the five kinds of overexciting traits and more excellent than general over-excitability traits elementary school students’. Gifted elementary school students are also more excellent than general elementary school students in the T OE and S OE
4. There are unobservable un-difference between of gifted elementary school students and general over-excitability traits elementary school students
5. Different overexcited gifted elementary school students and general over –excit
-bility traits elementary school students if more are observable, have more bad performance of personality.
6. Gifted elementary school students with over-excitability are quite positive related of life adjustment upon T OE and are un-related by P OE , S OE and E OE.
7. General over-excitability traits elementary school students, that is positive related with life adjustment by T OE and are reflecting quite un-related of P OE and S OE.
8. The P OE of gifted elementary school students with over-excitability traits well predict the whole life adjustment.
9. The P OE of general over-excitability traits elementary school students well predict the whole life adjustment.
Finally, according with the result of the research to present some proposal for the teaching reference of elementary schools and proposal of further researches.
