The main purpose of the research was to investigate the relationship between school staffs’motivation-hygiene factor and job involvement. The framework of the research takes individual attributes of the academic staffs in Pingtung County as independent variables, and the satisfaction degree with regard to the motivation-hygiene factor as well as job involvement as dependent variables, discussing if there exists any explicit difference between individual attributes to the satisfaction degree of the motivation-hygiene factor and job involvement, and if there also exists any explicit correlation between the satisfaction degree of the motivation-hygiene factor and job involvement . The first step of this study was the collection of the relevant background with regard to the motivation-hygiene factor and job involvement. The literature gathered was subsequently investigated and discussed. Secondly, the framework of the research was proposed utilizing the questionnaire method. Based on the methodology established, the research instrument- “The questionnaire in investigating the motivation-hygiene factor and job involvement.”- was developed. The questionnaire so produced was then distributed to 500 academic staffs of universities as random samplings in Pingtung County. Finally, the data collected was analyzed using the statistics methods, including descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way Anova, and Pearsons’product-moment correlation. The result was given and interpreted respectively to render into conclusions. According to the conclusions of this study, the research offers some suggestions as references for schools and future research to make a further study.
