Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 教育行政研究所 === 94 === The study focuses on the present situation of kindergarten teachers' use of picture books. In order to achieve this purpose, I use the self-adapted "Questionaire on Kindergarten Teachers' Use of Picture Books" as the research tool, and take those teachers as samples in the public and private kindergartens in Kaohsiung and Pingtung. There have been 1000 copies issued, 745 of which returned, with the respective analysis of such methods as relative frequency, percentage, One-Way ANOVA, t-test, and Scheff’e Method, furnished with the information from semi-structured interviews. The study comes to several conclusions as follow: 1. In using picture books, the elder and experienced teachers score more on the whole than the average. 2. The highly-educated teachers perform better in classroom extensive reading immersion and extension activities as well. 3. A class made up of 11~20 students is more suitable while applying picture books teaching. 4. The teachers working in public kindergarten and a class accompanying with two teachers do a better job in classroom extensive reading immersion. 5. The teachers working in urban areas make better use of picture books materials. 6. The major purpose for most kindergarten teachers to use picture books is daily life education ; it can achieve the best condition. Finally, in terms of the points above, there are suggestions proposed for the teachers, kindergartens, parents, publisher, the educational administrative authorities concerned, and other researchers.
