Abstract
This research is to inquire into the circumstances and correlation among role pressure, commitment of organization on values of working to elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job. For acquiring objective factual data, the researcher also studied whether there was an evident discrepancy among values of working to elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job in different situations. Therefore, that will be the conclusion of this study, and the research provides some suggestions for the reference to the administrative organizations of education, school principals, directors, and future researchers.
The research has collected relevant documents about commitment of organization, found domestically and abroad. A self-developed questionnaire, “Survey of Work Environment of Elementary School Teachers who Having Part-time Administration Job”, was used to survey 625 public values of working to elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job from Kaohsiung county.
This study was taken action by document analyses and survey with the tool of researcher self-developed survey- “Survey of values of working to the elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job. These data were divided into five components from the second section “Values of working to the elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job” of the survey; four components (Achievement and prestige, innovation and progress, social interaction,welfare of organization and health) form the fourth section of “Value of Work in Elementary teachers;” three components (organization recognition, hard working attitude, and desire of retention) from forth section “commitment of organization of elementary teachers.” For analyzing the correlation of elementary teachers background with all sections, T test, F Test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's posteriori comparison, Pearson's product moment correlation, and Stepwise multiple regressions were utilized in data analysis.
I.According to the outcome of data analysis, the research provides some suggestions for improvement.
1. The elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job has the highest values of working on “social interaction”, and the lowest values of working on “welfares of organization”.
2. The elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job has the best value of work on “hard-working” and the worse value of work “desire of retention”.
3. Female has higher working values on creativity and social interaction than male.
4. Young elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job has high values of working.
5. Director of elementary school teacher has higher working values than homeroom teacher who having part-time administration job.
6. Director of elementary school male teacher who stays at elementary school longer has high value of work.
7. Director of elementary school male teacher who stays at elementary school longer has high organization recognition.
8. Director of elementary school male teacher who stays at elementary school longer has high hard working attitude.
9. Director of elementary school male teacher who stays at elementary school longer has high desire of retention.
10. The elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job has high values of working than the ones who has low organization recognition.
11. The values of working for the elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job has close relation with organization recognition. Moreover, their creativity influences most.
12. The elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job has the highest prediction ability to organization recognition.
II. According to the results above, the research has provided
some suggestions:
A. For educational administrative organization:
1. Improving welfare of organization to increase the desire of retention for elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job
2. Give elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job more welfare.
3. Encouraging elementary school male teachers who having part-time administration job to improve “creativity” and “social interaction”. That will make great organization recognition.
B. For school:
1. Choosing elementary school teachers who are willing to work for the school.
2. Taking care of the elder female teachers to take part-time administration job.
3. Trust teachers who having part-time administration job in order to reinforce their organization of recognition to school.
4. Creating a learning organization to let teachers who having part-time administration job have better interaction.
C. For elementary school teachers who having part-time administration job:
1. Teachers from taking part-time administration job to fulfill their future plan.
2. Be a long-life learning teacher.
3. Having good relationship with everyone.
4. To agree the education goal of their own schools, and try their best to work for the schools.
