The purpose of the study was to explore the elders’ current status of self-worth, learning adjustment, and learning satisfaction; the difference between different personal background variables on self-worth, learning adjustment, and learning satisfaction; the correlation among the elders’ self-worth, learning adjustment, and learning satisfaction; the corelation of different personal background variables and the elders’ self-worth and learning adjustment on learning satisfaction; the prediction of the elders’ self-worth and learning adjustment on learning satisfaction, so as to be used for reference to curriculum design and learning consulting. The study started from literature collection and went on by exploring the related concepts, theories and researches of self-worth, learning adjustment, and learning satisfaction. Then referred to other research instruments, developed “The Elders’ self-worth, Learning Adjustment, and Learning Satisfaction Questionnaire.” Totally 650 copies of questionnaires were issued to the elders in evergreen academy in Kaohsiung City, finally 573 effective questionnaires were reclaimed, the effective reclaimed rate reached 88.2%. The data were analyzed statistically by using item analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, the Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple-stepwise regression. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The elders have positive self-worth, especially the self-acceptance aspect; on the contrary, lack self-affirmation. 2. The elders perform well on learning adjustment, especially the learning attitude aspect; on the contrary, psychosomatic adjustment needs to be improved. 3. The elders have highly satisfaction on learning, especially the teaching aspect; on the other hand, poor satisfaction on administrative service. 4. The elders who are married, in common health, and have just enough money for life adapt better to learning. 5. The elders who are well educated, with high self-worth, and know how to learn have better satisfaction on administrative service. 6. The elders who are better educated have better performance on learning strategies, psychosomatic adjustment, learning adjustment and administrative satisfaction than those who are lower educated. 7. There’s high correlation between the elders’ positive self-worth and learning habits, learning attitude, learning adjustment, and learning satisfaction. 8. The elders with good health and learning adjustment have better satisfaction in teaching aspect. According to the conclusions, this study proposed suggestions so as to be used for reference to the educational administrative authorities, elder learning institutions, teachers who teach the elders, the elders, and further researchers. Key words: self-worth of the elders, learning adjustment, learning satisfaction 楊國德 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 136 zh-TW
