Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 成人教育研究所 === 94 === “The correlation study of elementary school teachers’ life style, profession identification and career satisfaction”, which study object was the elementary teachers in Kaohsiung City. The purpose of the study was to explore elementary school teachers’ current status of life style, profession identification and career satisfaction; the difference between different personal background variables and career satisfaction; the influence of background variables, life style and profession identification on career satisfaction; the relation between life style, profession identification and career satisfaction; and the prediction of life style and profession identification to career satisfaction, so as to be used for reference to government officials, related organizations, educational institutions, and further research. The study started from literature collection, and went on by exploring the related concepts, theories and researches of life style, profession identification and career satisfaction for the foundation of the study. Then referred to other research instruments, developed “elementary school teachers’ life style, profession identification and career satisfaction questionnaire”. Totally 600 copies of questionnaires were issued to elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City, finally 527 effective questionnaires were reclaimed. The data were analyzed statistically by using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, one-way MANOVA, the Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple-stepwise regression. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The elementary school teachers’ life-style tends to family-oriented aspect. 2. The elementary school teachers had nice profession identification. 3. The elementary school teachers had good career satisfaction. 4. The elementary school teachers who have taught for more than 10 years and married tend to family-oriented life-style; those who teach less and unmarried tend to fashion life-style . 5. The male elementary school teachers place more importance on health-leisure life-style than female elementary school teachers. 6. The elementary school teachers who had higher education, married, and teach in big schools have higher profession identification. 7. The male elementary school teachers who have higher education, married, assigned director, and teach in big schools have higher career satisfaction. 8. The elementary school teachers whose career satisfaction will vary with their life-style; those who have positive life-style, their career satisfaction will be higher. 9. The elementary school teachers whose career satisfaction will vary with their profession identification; those who have positive profession identification, their career satisfaction will be higher. 10. The elementary school teachers whose professional organization, profession attitude and growth, confidence social, professional knowledge can predict well at career satisfaction, especially the professional organization.
