Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 化學系 === 94 === The main purpose of the research is to explore the influence of teaching module on the learning achievements and attitudes of the students when learning the unit “Pressure”. Quasi-experimental method was applied to the research. The subjects for this study were the students on the second grade in a Yunlin municipal junior high school. One class with 35 students was the experimental group receiving teaching module; the other one with 36 students was the control group receiving the traditional lecture instruction.
During the research, based on the Competence Indicators of Science and Technology Learning Area and the relevant literature of pressure and teaching module, the researcher designed the module for pressure teaching and the pretest & posttest questions for the achievement test as a research tool. The module for pressure teaching emphasizes on hands-on practices, thinking, group discussion, and cooperative learning. Hopefully students can solve the problems by themselves, build the scientific concepts, and develop the process and literacy of science. Pre- and past- tests were used in the pretest & posttest questions for pressure achievement test and then the data was analyzed by using SPSS 10.5 statistic software. Other data were also collected from classroom sound-recording, working sheets, and the survey of students’ learning attitude to interpret the quantitative results. The researcher analyzed various data to generate findings and viewpoints.
After the analysis of all data, the findings and conclusions of this study were as follows:
1. For all sample students, the learning achievements of the experimental group are much better than the control group.
2. For students with high academic score, the learning achievements of the experimental group are much better than the control group.
3. For students with middle academic score, the learning achievements of the experimental group are much better than the control group.
4. For students with low academic score, the learning achievements of the experimental group are much better than the control group.
5. the learning feeling of the students in teaching module are active and positive.
