In this study, the action research method was adopted and 139 6th-grade students were subjects. The content included: (1) studying the feasibility application of applying cooperative learning to weaving course; (2) studying the introspection of this teaching scheme. Methods of action research, literature analysis and observation were used for this study and the provided lessons were divided into categories such as “appreciation of beauty and culture”, “creation and performance” and “application and design” and so on for a total of six units that were included in this teaching scheme. The findings of this study were as follows: (1) Students liked learning the intention weaving course. (2) The scheme can motivate students to study visual art. (3) The scheme had positive effects on students’ cooperation and learning attitude. Weave art can as the teaching material of visual art course for the 6th-grade students in primary school, but the implementation should be well planned. The study also provided comments for relevant implementation and future direction.
