Nevertheless, the gender segregation and stratification damaging the achievements of sex education could reveal the unequal status of the male and female. Is it possible that we could distinguish the differences of the education and occupation attainment of male and female from the period of teacher cultivation? And will the differences of career choices affect the equality of sex position? It’s worthy to probe this motif deeply. The target subjects of this research, the students of the Industrial Technology Education in the National Kaohsiung Normal University, are inquired by the questionnaires and analyzed on December, 2003. The main independent variable is “sex”, and the medium ones are “values” and “sex role attitude”. All of these variables are explored how they affect the students’ career choices of the Industrial Technology Education in the National Kaohsiung Normal University. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. In career choices: Male students’ education and occupational aspirations are higher than females’ students’ significantly. 2. In values: Male students pay more attention to “reality orientation“ than female students do; meanwhile, female students pay more attention to “sociality orientation”. As for “joyance orientation” value, there is no significant sex difference. No matter mater male or female students pay much attention to this value. 3. In sex role attitude: Females students are more modern than male students, and male students are more traditional than female students. 4. The “values” and “sex role attitude” are going to affect the career choices. In “values”- those who pay more attention to “reality and sociality orientation” will promote education and occupational aspiration. In “sex role attitude”- modern sex role attitude people who approve “female career role”, despite “male takes a good advantage in career” and “female task harms family life” will promote educational aspirations. Those who agree “female career role” will promote occupational aspirations. 5. The data indicates female students pay more attention to “sociality orientation” value and “modern sex role attitude” than male students. This information also implicated the narrowing of the gap between educational and occupational aspirations of male students, the gap will be widened.
