Due to the CHT network construction’s years and background different, therefore
the network architecture are obvious different with new fix network companies.
Especially in subscriber loop (form local exchange to subscriber) this portion and this
will be huge impact of subscriber’s communication quality. So far the fix network
companies utilize the access site to establish FTTB (Fiber to the Building) first to make
up the default which they can not establish the FTTH now. The access site is also the
most different portion between fix network companies and the old telecommunication
(CHT) of the network architecture.
This thesis via discusses the network architecture different, which between utilizes
the fiber connection’s access site and tradition twisted-pair wire connection’s network
architecture. To mention the advantage of use access site can provide bigger switch
service radius、reduce the limit of subscribers growth, and it can utilize SDH protection
mechanism to raise subscriber network security. By the way, it also can reduce the
twisted-pair wire distance to improve the subscriber broadband service quality.
Therefore the network architecture with access sites is better than lay out by

twisted-pair wire’s tradition telecommunication network.
We utilizes the DLS400 (twisted-pair wire distance simulator) to prove that the
transmission distance will be an inverse ratio with transmissible speed, the longer of
transmissible distance, the smaller of transmissible speed and also the bigger in high
frequency and cable attenuation when the broadband data transmission. If we utilize
twisted-pair wire to be the backbone, all kinds of function’s wire maybe in the same
cable to make cross-talk worse. Also the bridge-taps usually is the major reason to make
signaling attenuation in the twisted-pair wire. The longer bridge-taps will cause the
bigger impact. All above impact of transmission in twisted-pair wire will be a
substantially improvement in the fiber connection’s fix network architecture.
