Generally speaking, the quality of equipment is judged by shutting down rate, fault rate, availability, average invalid time, maintenance time, etc. For promoting the maintenance ability and quality of equipment, the efficiency of manufacture department, and the reduction of the cost, to study the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is necessary. The study aims at power supply system of military factory. Especially to utilize the people who has worked for a long time in the factory and has the reputable experience knowledge. According to the concept of human factor engineering, the study selected the software "XpertRule Knowledge Builder" that produced from Attar Software Company to develop the specific domain maintenance management expert system (ES) for the power supply system. After using this maintenance expert system of factory, the duty people in assessing the usability and practicability confirm that to develop this expert vi system in maintenance management of the power supply system of factory is suitable.
