Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 資訊管理所 === 94 === ABSTRACT This study will discover the successful factors of implementing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system in manufacturing industry. We adopt deep interviews with candidates and collect data from five companies in manufacturing industry, including one semiconductor company, two LCD companies, one electronics assembly company, and one aerospace industrial company. There are 13 interviewees distributing in the candidates employees setup PLM system, system providers, and implementing consultants. The literature review in this study includes PLM solutions, PLM introduction and the factors affecting adoption of IS innovation. This study proposes eleven propositions to the critical success factors of implementing PLM system based on the literature review. This study also analyzes each proposition by case study of the five companies. In this study, we find out the key successful factors for manufacturing industry implementing PLM system are: 1. Coping strategy for facing the competitive environments. 2. Company scales and the operations across-the-borders. 3. Visions and high level management supports 4. Employees re-education and enterprise re-engineering. 5. Compatibility of PLM system and legacy systems. 6. Integration and future development of PLM system. 7. Expertise and services quality of PLM solution providers. 8. The consulting company''s familiarity of enterprise operation and planning
