Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 光電工程研究所 === 94 === Abstract This thesis mainly focuses on a novel energy recovery circuit (ERC) design for the Plasma Display Panel (PDP). The ERC is provided to decrease the external supply voltage, so that the power consumptions of the ERC can be further reduced. Furthermore, the smaller and cheaper circuit components can be selected, because the external supply voltage is applied to the ERC. The PDP can be actuated by specific driven waveform, which can be produced by the ERC. The driven waveform of the ERC will be detailed discussed in this thesis. By comparing with the traditional driving method, the ERC has many advantages such as higher power efficiency, small installation size, lower cost and so on. In this thesis, the driving waveform can be further controlled based on the pulse width modulation (PWM) method. Accordingly, the brightness of PDP can be controlled by using the PWM method, so as to obtain the accurate gray level control. The optimum parameters design of the circuit components for the ERC is also very importance for the PDP. In this -iiithesis, the Design of Experiments(DOE) will be employed to find out the optimum parameters for the ERC, so that the brightness can be operated under the expected optimum condition for the PDP.
