Summary: | 碩士 === 南華大學 === 生死學研究所 === 94 === Among all the social systems, marriage is a social group that is most popular, most intimate and most influential; therefore, marriage has its irreplaceable specific nature. Marriage is a healthy and natural state and bachelor will thus get hurt more easily than people living in marriage in terms of both physical and mental ways. A report by Birks of England which surveyed 4500 widows with age about 55 years old, it found that 213 widows died within 6 months after her husband’s death, which occupies a percentage of 40% of the total number of death in the group of the same age and this explains that the spiritual trauma brought by the death of couple might greatly cause physical and mental hurt. There might be a though of re-marriage after the death of couple, however, the attitude of female-with-husband-died on re-marriage might be affected by factors such as: emotional trauma, economic situation, loading from children, living habits and traditional concepts, etc. The trend of social change could unavoidably lead to impact on personal marriage point of view; therefore, the grasp of modern marriage point of view will no doubt help female-with-husband-died to clarify some marriage issues. Hence, in this study, six females-with-husband-died of different ages (Youth, middle age and old age) will be our research targets and research methods such as literature survey, in-depth visit and content analysis will be used to investigate the marriage point of view and attitude of re-marriage of female-with-husband-died, we try to display the real thinking from female-with-husband-died on the related topics such as: meaning of marriage, spouse selection and re-marriage, etc.
