As a result, setting up a group enterprise has become one of the major ways of doing business. This research is based on the perspective of an organization''s growth and strategy selection to analysis how synergy can be created for a publisher toward group operations. As the purpose of this exploratory research is to find facts, using an individual case for in-depth analysis is necessary.
The methods of the research used are collecting fact data and conducting in-depth interviews for analysis. Additionally, scenarios by experts were matched to find out what is the most suitable way of the synthesis effect and model application for the company.
The results of researching the value-chain have been classified as follows:
(1) Sales synergy level that fulfills the benefits are: Opening up the business group to meet with the direct channels of three major media companies and getting the attention of media advertisements to be able to share the benefits of brand and business reputation. This will result in improvement of the entrepreneur''s image and frequent exposure to the public.
(2) Operation synergy level: This is based on the operation platform, providing supporting activity services, reducing manpower needed and resources sharing to be able to cut the cost down. At the same time, to increase price-negotiating ability, the operating cost is reduced and experiences can be accumulated by joint purchasing. Therefore, the production cost can be reduced by increasing the production experiences.
(3) Investment synergy level: This involves sharing production equipment in the offices, warehouses and production lines which can be beneficial for lowering indirect expenses.
(4) Management synergy level: The integration on management levels can improve the integration of a business unit and company''s goal. Risk will be spread out. The flexibility of the organization can increase the flexibility and mobility of the manpower.
The discussion from this paper concluded that the suitability of model application is under certain conditions. Meanwhile, the suggestions on the research objects and the analytic structure have to be further explored. Moreover, aspects of practical application have to apply to the individual case and publishing industry.
