To answer these questions, the thesis adopted the method of action research. The teacher was aware of the student’s inner hope for the peaceful scenery of Datun stream, as well as their fear of the stream might be polluted. We truly hope that these students would remember their thoughts when they grow up, and these thoughts might urge them to keep on caring their own hometown. The researcher found that through the circulating process of action research, it is possible to construct a more autonomous ecological art lesson. The students were more aware of the multi dimensions of their communities after the ecological art lesson, and thus were more open to create their own art works. Their art works and reflections also showed their concern towards the environment in the communities and were able to express their concern through art. 徐秀菊 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 199 zh-TW |

碩士 === 國立花蓮師範學院 === 視覺藝術教育研究所 === 94 === Abstract
Ecology is all about the intertwined relationships between plants, animals and every living creature. It also concerns the human relationship to the natural world. With the evolving of time, Arts and Humanities education became more focused on the human relationship to its environment. Ecology can be interpreted in different ways, however, an artistic perspective is essential. How can we explore ecology in an artistic way? Moreover, how can we help students establish the long-lost connection between human and nature as well as to further consider the ecological issue in the communities?
To answer these questions, the thesis adopted the method of action research. When conducting the action research, the stages of lesson planning, teaching, post-lesson reflection and plan adjusting formed an ever-going circle. In that case, the design of the lesson is bound to be changed and adjusted in order to meet the difficulties occurred in the lessons. Also, through the discussion of aesthetics of the ecological arts, and studying ecological arts related academic papers, the researcher became more aware of the development of ecological arts, thus could focus on the educational value of ecological arts, and further developed and examined the lesson of ecological arts in Arts and Humanities education. Also, the thesis emphasized on the possibilities of helping students became more identified with their communities, and explored the multi-dimension in their communities. Moreover, the thesis is a personal reflection on how one should position oneself in the environment, as well as demonstrated the efforts to integrate art and ecology, and constructed a curriculum that truly based on the relationship between man and environment, in order to deliver the humanity concern. The humanity concern would be helpful for students to appreciate the value of life, respect themselves. The final result showed how the students learned to appreciate the nature as well as to avoid holding selfish attitudes towards nature.
After the lesson, students employed the natural resources in their own communities as sources of inspirations and materials for their art works. The installation works and performance presented at the end of the lesson were not only totally employed river bank scenery of the Datun Stream, but also showed their reflective thinking towards the land they dwell upon.
