Summary: | 碩士 === 國立花蓮教育大學 === 國民教育研究所 === 94 === The purpose of this study was to compare the differences of the school adjustm- ent between the Taiwanese and migrant brides’ offspring. The subjects who were the grade 5 and 6 students studied at the elementary school included the offspring of nat- ive and mainland were selected by random sampling. The participants of five countr- ies in this study were sampling from twenty-five country to enroll in this questionna- ire. The number of valid samples are 504 included 237 the offspring of the spouse of the foreign or mainland and 267 offspring of native. Analyses of variance and indep- endence t-test were used to detect significant difference among varieties.
The results show as follows:
1. In terms of the school adjustment
The grade of high students of Taiwanese offspring is to get behind the migrant brides’ offspring.
2. In terms of the school adjustment about student’s background
(1) Gender
There are no significant different between the Taiwanese migrant brides’ offspri- ng.
(2) Citizenship
The citizenship divided into Taiwan, mainland and East-South Asia. One can see the school adjustment of native offspring is superior to East-South Asia; however, th- ere are no difference between the offspring of native and spouse of mainland. In addi- tion, there are also no difference between the offspring of spouse of mainland and the East-South Asia.
(3) Mother’s language ability
In terms of the language ability between the mothers whose offspring are the gra- de of high foreign students and mainland students, they were not affected to adjust the school.
(4) Family structure
One can see the school adjustment of offspring whose family are two parents is super ior to one or less then one parent; however, there are no difference between the offspring of spouse of foreign and mainland in the structure of family.
