Summary: | 碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處體育教學碩士班 === 94 === This case study aimed to explore the teacher and student behavior resulted from adapted physical education applied by elementary school physical education teacher and special education teacher in a hearing impaired class. The instruction data was collected from badminton class and volleyball class; two class periods for each. The teacher and student behavior was analyzed by PETAI. Moreover, to further examine variables affected the teacher and student behavior, interviews with the teachers and students were conducted. By applying PETAI, the paper analyzed the time when teacher behavior and student behavior category occurred. The results are:
I. Allocated time for teacher behavior:The allocated time for physical education teacher’s instruction, both of the teachers spent most of the time on response presentation and the least amount of time on motivational feedback. The physical education teacher’s behavior management was spent most of the time on organzation, least amount of time was spent on other tasks. As to special education teacher, most of the time was spent on behavior management and the least amount of time was spent on other tasks.
II. Allocated time for student behavior:Students’ participated behavior under education teacher’s instruction, while allocated skill learning time made up most of the time of students’ participated behavior; warm-up & review made up the least of the time. Students’ behavior management time under physical education teacher’s instruction was spent most of the time on organization and least amount of time on other tasks. When under special education teacher’s instruction, students’ behavior management time was spent most of the time on behavior management and the least of time on other tasks.
III. Difference between Teacher and Student Behavior.
