More importantly, the space itself is not possessed of unity or absoluteness; it may, on the contrary, reveal expansibility and diversity. Accordingly, it is necessary to consider the essential meaning of “human and space.” In the field of art, artists, through out their lives, endeavor to display their awareness of space and the view of space toward generations. The aim of the present study is to interpret the art works of calligraphy from the perspective of visual psychology. In addition to focus on the aesthetic perception and some part of physical and psychological space, it is also intended to convey the individual feelings of the living space and the feelings of the time through their lives. Thus, in order to construct the base for personal art works, it is expected to combine the related concepts, techniques, and the use of materials from the traditional aspects and from the modern ones. The study is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the Introduction: to explain the research background and motivations of the present study. The second chapter is the Literature Review: to first survey the issues related to space, and to interpret the visual space from the perspective of what Arnheim has termed as visual psychology. In addition, the view of visual space the modern art is intended to display is further discussed in this chapter. Finally, the mutual proof toward the above views will be discovered from the calligraphy works. The third chapter is the Ideas of the Art Works: to combine the relevant theories with traditional thought of calligraphy to form the personal ideas of the art works and further practice them in the real works. The forth chapter is the Explanation of the Art Works: to introduce the works in terms of three forms of materials. In addition, the philosophy of “the exhibition is the products” is adopted to arrange the works from 2004 to 2006, in order to display the art works as a whole. The fifth chapter is the Conclusion: to sum up the discussions of the descriptions toward the present creation, making it as the starting point of the following art works. 蔡長盛 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 140 zh-TW |

碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 美勞教育研究所 === 94 === Abstract
Space provides human with a stage for activities and operations of thinking.
